What causes an ovarian cyst?

I was supposed to start another round of fertility treatments yesterday but found out that I have a 19mm ovarian cyst. What could have caused this? Will the treatments make my PCOS worse?

An ovarian cyst is caused by an egg that matures but is not released from the ovary. Fertility medication can often cause this. You might need to decrease the dosage of your meds. Ask your doctor.
I had an ovarian cyst and had my cyst taken out because it was to late, before you have the surgery go with the pills to shrink it, trust me its worth taking the pills everyday, i done the surgery and there was so many complications with it. that if i had to do it all over again i would take the pills (my friend took them)
