Menstrual irregularity, but sometimes no pain at all,Taking any contraceptives?I suggest you to always discuss any indications of the pills to your Med.practitioner before you take it.You can get an ovarian cyst w/ different reasons,
diet, life style and med.history of miscarriages
if you are having health concerns, consult a Med.Practitioner in that field,it is always good to prevent than to cure.
You should not get cysts when on the pill. I am on the pill to stop my cysts but having a cyst will cause pelvic pain. If one ruptures it will be a very sharp pain depending on the size. the one I had was 5cm and I ended up in the emergancy room throwing up bile.
You can’t depend on symptoms alone to tell you if you have an ovarian cyst. In fact, you’ll likely have no symptoms at all. Or if you do, the symptoms may be similar to those of other conditions, such as endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, ectopic pregnancy or ovarian cancer. Even appendicitis and diverticulitis can produce signs and symptoms that mimic a ruptured ovarian cyst.
Still, it’s important to be watchful of any symptoms or changes in your body and to know which symptoms are serious. If you have an ovarian cyst, you may experience the following signs and symptoms:
Menstrual irregularities
Pelvic pain — a constant or intermittent dull ache that may radiate to your lower back and thighs
Pelvic pain shortly before your period begins or just before it ends
Pelvic pain during intercourse (dyspareunia)
Pain during bowel movements or pressure on your bowels
Nausea, vomiting or breast tenderness similar to that experienced during pregnancy
Fullness or heaviness in your abdomen
Pressure on your rectum or bladder — difficulty emptying your bladder completely
The signs and symptoms that signal the need for immediate medical attention include:
Sudden, severe abdominal or pelvic pain
Pain accompanied by fever or vomiting
This is from someone who has them. The syptoms vary but mine showed up as pain in one side of lower ab, painful sex, extremely painful periods. I’ve been on the pill for almost 20 yrs. so they have nothing to do with whether you will get them or not, they are usually heriditary, so ask your mother. If you think you may have one go to see your OB/GYN right away, you don’t want it to rupture..believe me! I’ve had one removed by surgery as well.. best wishes..and please don’t wait for severe pain or worse before getn this checked out.
THEY ARE PAINFUL!! Usually burning feeling in your lower pelvic area. They can also cause sudden sharp pains. It is not very good. Sometimes when they are real small they are not so bad, but the big ones can kick your butt!!.. Have an ultrasound done to check. The pill will usually get rid of them. They did for me for a while, but I had to stop the pill b/c of blood clots!! Sucks for me!!
800mg Ibuprofen and a hot shower will do wonders! My ob says take 600mg-800mg but don’t take any more than that!
The symptoms I had were:
Very painful cramps
Pain right before my period
A dull ache on my lower abdomen
Sometime you won’t have symptoms at all, everybody is different. The cyst I had was the size of an orange, after they found the cyst I opted to get it removed surgically but when they went to remove it, it had already ruptured. I wasn’t aware that anything had happened because I didn’t feel any pain like so many have said they had.
I am pretty sure I am developing another cyst, but this time I think I will go for the birth control and see if that helps. I think being on the pill for four years will help you but if you are having any symptoms you should go see your gyno.
