I am 19 and have PCOS so I get cysts on my ovaries alot and have had them rupture and yes it hurts like hell. My doctor prescribed me some T3's for the pain and told me to come in for a pain killer shot if it was unbearable. Just ask your doctor for some pain meds and use heating pads or Magic bags on your pelvic area or have a nice hot bath and it should be fine in a few days. Feel Better.

I would follow up with a gynocologist and let him/her know what you had. I had one too and it ruptured not much they can do for it except for pain medication. They usually are benign. Feel better : )

Hi Tanya,

Sorry to hear about your pain. Once your cyst has ruptured the pain will go away, so you don't have anything to worry about right away.

The problem comes when your ovarian cyst grows again, and the question becomes what do you do and how do you treat it.

If there was a way to prevent your ovarian cysts from returning would you try it? Good news is, there is a way to permanently cure your ovarian cysts, NATURALLY.

See the link below for more info.

Good luck

Im going through the same thing, mine just ruptured earlier this week and i still have 5 cm sitting on my ovary, and it only partially ruptured so i dont know what it was before. So far i have only been on pain killers but that isnt helping much. From my experience, take it easy, if it hurts to lift things then dont, rest up and dont do any extra hard activities until you feel you are ready. It really depends on everyone, but if the pain continues for a while maybe more than a week i would get checked out. And also ask to get a follow up ultrasound done or an internal ultrasound down, in a month or so, so that it can be checked to see if the cyst has gone down on its own or if it is still sitting there. I have one set up already, so if i were you go back to your doctors and emphasize your discomfort. you really dont want it any bigger than two cm.

Hope you feel better!
