Why does the pain from an ovarian cyst come and go?

Yesturday i was in so much pain i couldnt move, and today im fine, up and walking around?? No medicine just a heating pad!! Any ideas??

well when your gonna start your period everything swells up more and puts more pressure on the cyst when your done it will not be as bad cause swelling would have went down also aggressive sex can make it hurt more
